Prof. O. Maduka Ogba

Bio: Professor O. Maduka Ogba earned his B.S. in computer science at Trinity University in 2011 and his Ph.D. in chemistry at Oregon State University in 2016. In graduate school, Maduka conducted research with Professor Paul Cheong developing computational approaches for investigating chemical reactions that involve conformationally and configurationally flexible molecules. Maduka spent two years as a Robbins Postdoctoral Fellow (2016-2018) at Pomona College with Professor Daniel O’Leary. During this time, he used spectroscopic tools and isotope-perturbed molecules to detect subtle interactions within molecules that play key roles in their stability and reactivity. Professor Ogba joined Chapman University in 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
